I hope you are well. I am absolutely thrilled that Orla Muldoon will be our guest speaker at our *2nd Annual GC Summit* in London on 23 May 2018. Orla has very generously agreed to give us a TED-style Talk about her personal career journey and share with us lessons she has learned along the way. Orla was one of our brilliant previous guest speakers at the London chapter of the Lawyers’ BD CLUB in 2016 so I’m delighted she will share her story and insights with us at our Summit.
Orla Muldoon, Chief Counsel EMEIA for Archer Daniels Midland, leads the legal function for the global food ingredients and commodities trading and processing giant across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. She is also a member of the ADM EMEA business management team. Orla has an extensive background in the European FMCG and Food sectors having joined ADM in January 2014 after 7 years as Chief Counsel Europe for The Kellogg Company, as well as having previously held an in-house counsel position with Coca-Cola and completed a secondment with Diageo. She has also 7 years’ experience at two of Ireland’s largest law firms, Matheson and McCann FitzGerald. Orla started her career as a lecturer in law at University College Dublin, Ireland.
A frequent speaker at international legal conferences in Europe, Orla was interviewed for “The Influential GC” report by Nabarro in 2012. Orla was a member of the Judging panel for the annual British Legal Awards 2011 – 2014. She was a finalist in the In-house Lawyer of the Year at the Lawyer Awards in 2017. She was actively involved in the establishment of the Global Leaders in Law Ireland Chapter.
Orla obtained her primary law degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and an LL.M. degree from the University of London. She has attended executive education courses in both the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Law School. Orla is licensed to practice law in England and Wales, Ireland and New York. Orla is based in Switzerland, is married and has three sons.
