I hope you are well. I am absolutely delighted that Clare Wardle will be our guest speaker at our *2nd Annual GC Summit* in London on 23 May 2018. Clare has very generously agreed to give us a TED-style Talk about her personal career journey and share with us lessons she has learned along the way.
About Clare
Clare has been General Counsel & Company Secretary at Coca-Cola European Partners and member of the Executive leadership team since May 2016 and is a sponsor of CCEP’s Diversity Council. She is also chairman of Basketball England. She has considerable international experience in risk, governance, competition and compliance. Between 2010 and May 2016, Clare has played a leading role in many development and expansion projects as Group General Counsel at Kingfisher – Europe’s largest home improvement retail group. During her time at the FTSE100 Company, she launched the hugely successful Kingfisher Women’s Network, which has seen an increase of senior women within the business. Before joining Kingfisher, Clare was Company Secretary and General Counsel and then Commercial Director of Tube Lines Limited, taking a leading role in its successful sale to TfL. Prior to this she was Head of Post Office Ltd Legal Services where among other things she was helped set up and manage telecoms and financial services offerings, became a recognised expert in digital signatures and encryption and played a major role in the restructure of the post office network. She was called to the bar in 1984, joined Lovells in 1986 and moved to Royal Mail in 1996.
