Good afternoon,
We have an amazing prize for one of our winners of our *2nd Annual Lawyers’ Photography Competition* – a 2 night stay (including dinner on one evening) at the luxury boutique hotel Vivenda Miranda in the Algarve Portugal.
The sweeping sands of Porto de Mos are overlooked by dramatic multicoloured cliffs, which, further along the coast, harbour hidden caverns and pretty archways. This is why the Algave is such a coveted holiday destination.
Ochre-coloured Vivenda Miranda, once a private home, is perched atop the cliffs and is a spectacular spot to while away lazy days. Its 26 rooms offer wonderful sea views, while its verdant garden, studded as it is with palm trees, juts out to cliff edge and overlooks the golden sands below.
It’s all about pandering to pleasure here; Neal’s Yard has just opened its first overseas spa at the hotel, while the kitchen serves delicious dishes that make good use of local produce. The path down to the beach, which wends past the swimming pool, is the gateway to some great walks.

I’m a big fan of Vivenda Miranda – it is one of my favourite boutique hotels in the Algarve. 🙂 I had a wonderful dinner there last Saturday night – I didn’t want to leave!!

Our 1st Annual Lawyers’ Photography Competition – 2016
There was a great reaction to our competition last year with lawyers sending us in photos from all around the world. We had a wonderful JUDGE – Laurence McMahon (a former lawyer and now a professional commercial photographer based in Dublin).
Laurence had a difficult job deciding on 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in our competition.

Fiona’s photograph taken on a river in Cambodia caught my eye. It has a painterly feel to it. Love the muted tones and moody nature which are amplified by the stillness of the water. I am wondering what is around the corner.

According to our Judge:
Eleanor’s photograph of horses on a beach in Donegal, Ireland grabbed my attention. I like the panoramic crop which really suited this photo. Like the feeling of space and the colour of the sand as against the sky.
