You may also be interested to know that in the US, Bjarne has just been recognized (March 2016) as a “2016 Legend in Law” winner of the Burton Awards. The awards program, held in Association with the Library of Congress and Co-Sponsored by the American Bar Association, is designed to reward major achievements in the law. The awards are selected by professors from Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, Stanford Law School and Columbia Law School, among others. The “Legends in the Law Award” goes to 10 outstanding corporate general counsel whose corporation or business had gross revenues which exceeded $1 billion in the previous year.

Bjarne P. Tellmann is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Pearson PLC, the world’s leading education business. He is a regular speaker, panelist and lecturer at conferences and universities in the United States and Europe.

Originally from Oslo, Norway, Mr. Tellmann is a member of the New York and Georgia Bars and is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales. He holds a Juris Doctor with Honors from The University of Chicago, a M.Sc. (Econ.) from The London School of Economics and a PG Dip. (Merit), European Competition Law from King’s College, University of London. He received his B.A., Summa cum Laude from Boston University.
