Executive Vice President and General Counsel of MetLife, Inc.

Ricardo Anzaldua is executive vice president and general counsel of MetLife, Inc. He was appointed to this position in December 2012. Anzaldua leads the company’s global legal operations, and oversees MetLife’s corporate secretary’s office and corporate ethics and compliance group.
Anzaldua joined MetLife from The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he was senior vice president and associate general counsel. There, he led legal support for the two largest operating divisions (commercial and consumer markets) after a three-year tenure leading the legal teams supporting the corporate secretarial, securities, corporate governance, tax, mergers & acquisitions, technology, bankruptcy and real estate functions.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Anzaldua was a partner with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York. He began his legal career with the firm upon graduation from Harvard Law School in 1990.

Chris Donoho, Hogan Lovells Partner (Business Restructuring & Insolvency)
Chris Donoho is actively involved in the business of restructuring companies, focusing his practice on the transactional side of restructurings, but also frequently appearing in court on behalf of clients to protect their interests and assert their positions.
His experience covers all aspects of restructuring, including both in court and out of court solutions. Chris spends much of his time protecting the rights of individual or aligned creditors in restructurings (both banks and investment funds), and has spent a considerable portion of his career representing bondholders’ and creditors’ committees. He has also dedicated a significant part of his career to representing debtors, as well as purchasers of assets in Chapter 11 proceedings, either through a Section 363 or a plan acquisition. Many of his matters involve cross-border disputes and multi-jurisdictional proceedings.
Oliver Armas, Hogan Lovells Partner (Litigation & Arbitration)
Oliver Armas handles complex domestic and international disputes. He has an active trial practice in U.S. federal and state courts, and routinely represents foreign and domestic clients in arbitrations before the ICC, AAA/ICDR, LCIA, ICSID, and other arbitral tribunals. He also represents foreign product manufacturers in supply chain disputes and products liability litigation and in related regulatory matters.
Fluent in Spanish and able to understand Portuguese, Oliver routinely counsels clients on matters involving Latin America. He has acted as a legal expert in certain aspects of U.S. law in foreign proceedings (e.g., Mexico and Peru), and has supervised litigation and conducted FCPA investigations in almost every country in Latin America.
