Margaret has kindly agreed to share her amazing Story with us including her promotion from Director of Legal to CEO of Sunderland Football Club in 2011.
ABOUT MARGARET BYRNE (CEO)
Margaret Byrne was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Sunderland Football Club in 2011 making here one of the youngest Chief Executives of Premier League Football Club.
Margaret first joined Sunderland F.C. in 2007 as their in-house lawyer. Shortly afterwards, she was appointed as Company Secretary. Margaret became the Legal Director of the Club in 2009.
Margaret was voted onto the Council of the Football Association by her peers as a Premier League representative, making her the first woman on the Council. She also sits on the Premier League Advisory Board.
Margaret is from Dromintee in South Armagh.
